Hello! My name is Kaitlin, I am a recent OCAD University graduate. I have a Bachelor of Design (Bdes) and   majored in Advertising (Graphic Design) and          minored in Art History.

It was a pleasure to meet Jonathan today for our first Graphic Design class today! Today we explored what design is and how it influences our daily lives and the things we interact with. We discussed the elements and principles of design and how to use them as tools in creating successful graphic design. We then went over some other various design tools such as how to use margins, grids, and guides as well as the different programs that designers use. After which, we jumped onto Canva, an online design program, and went over the different tools and settings the program offers and how to best use them to aid in our designing. We started off by creating a portfolio biography to introduce ourselves.

Here is a look at Jonathan’s biography from today's class! Looking good!!

After completing our Canva creations we jumped on to Photoshop and began going over the basics which we will continue to learn throughout the week. Tomorrow we will be learning about colour theory and how different colours can influence our designs as well as learning about how to use mood-boards as a tool when designing.

Looking forward to what we create tomorrow! - Kaitlin :)

We would really appreciate it if you left us a review at
